Gamemaker

Gamemaker is an advanced vocational education (KY) for games development, mainly concentrating on three roles: games programming, 3D modelling / animation and project management. Since the course started more than 100 students have graduated and found work within swedish and international games developing studios.

Arvika municipality is responsible for the program, and it is executed by Changemaker together with NeoHouse. The goal is to educate competent co-workers in the fast growing business of entertainment and games. Leading companies in the game industry participate, as do idea driven knowledge companies and newcomers in the entertainment industry. These companies are deeply involved in the structure of the programme and contribute both teachers and opportunities for practical on-site training

Length: Two years including 30 weeks student placement. Gamemaker started in 2003.

Changemaker and NeoHouse are also running two similar advanced vocational educations: The Garden and Futuregames.
